Does the library have my textbook for class?
Answer
Miner Memorial Library does not own every textbook for every class. Here is how to find out if we have the one you need:
- Search the KCC Catalog by title, author, or ISBN to see if we own a copy.
- If the location is listed as "Temporarily Shelved at: Reserve," an instructor has requested that we set it aside for students to use in-library only. Bring the name of the item and call number if there is one to the circulation desk and a library staff member will get the item for you.
- Search the I-Share Catalog to request a copy from another college's library. Items might not be able to be requested (for example, if it is on reserve at that library) and might not be able to be renewed enough times to last the whole semester.
- In either case, pay close attention to edition numbers to make sure you are borrowing the exact book that you need.
