Why am I seeing "Your connection is not private" when I click on a database?

Off-campus users might be seeing a security warning message when trying to access KCC databases.  The issue has been identified, but may not be able to be fixed for a day or two.  This only affects off-campus usage; on-campus access should not be affected.

In the meantime, there is a way around it.  The process is slightly different depending on the browser being used.  Sometimes you will need to go through the process twice before it works.

For Chrome:

When you see the warning, click on Advanced (at the bottom, to the left of the blue button).

After that, click the link at the very bottom that says you want to proceed to the database.

 

For Internet Explorer:

If a message doesn't immediately show up, look at the right end of your address bar for a red notification. Upon clicking that, you should see the below screen, and choose the option to continue to the website.
