How do I search all EBSCO databases at one time, or switch between them?
Answer
Using any of the EBSCO databases available through the KCC Library (such as Academic Search Complete), you can expand or broaden your search results by searching across multiple EBSCO databases at one time. EBSCO produces Academic Search Complete and 40+ additional research databases provided through the KCC Library.
At the top of the search page, click on the blue link where it says Academic Search Complete.
A pop-up window appears with a list of all EBSCO databases available through the KCC Library. You can pick and choose which databases you'd like to search by selecting the checkbox next to each title. This is a search strategy to use if you would like to expand your results, especially if you aren't getting enough relevant articles.
You can also search all databases on this list at one time by checking the box "Select All" databases. We recommend trying databases specific to your topic first, as this option usually finds both too many results, as well as too many results that are not relevant to the topic you are researching.
If you're using an EBSCO database, you can also switch to another EBSCO database directly from this list. You can tell that you're in an EBSCO database by looking for a MyEBSCO icon at the top right of the search page.
